preschoolers

What to bring to school

Appropriate clothes for play in all weather is a must

for preschool!
• Good shoes for indoor/outdoor play
• Weather appropriate gear throughout the year

▪ Rain Gear (rain boots, rainsuits/pants, raincoat)
▪ Snow Gear (snow boots, snow pants, warm jacket,
hat, mittens)

• Extra snacks (cheese sticks, granola bars, etc.)
• Tissues
• Ziplock baggies – snack, sandwich, gallon
• Miscellaneous art supplies – if you’ve got scrap pieces of
ribbon, stickers, pipe cleaners, beads, etc. that you want out
of your house we’d love to use them!

Personal Supplies - Please label these items with student’s name

  • PE Shoes with non-marking soles - to be left at school
  • 1 - backpack
  • 1 - headphones (plug-in type for chromebooks)
  • 1 - 1 ½”  three-ring binder (not zippered and not a larger size)
  • 3 or more - plastic pocket style dividers for 3-ring binder
  • 1 - ruler with inches and centimeters
  • 1 - scissors (7 inch size works best)
  • 2 - two pocket folders
  • 1 - pencil box (most desk supplies need to fit inside the box due to space issues)
  • 4 - dry erase markers (wide tip Expo) 
  • 1 - dry erase eraser (a small square of felt works)
  • 1 - box of markers (~20 count)
  • 2 - liquid glue
  • 2 - fine point black sharpie
  • 1 - lunch bag/box
  • 1 - Watercolor

 

Community Items

  • 1 - pack (150) of wide ruled notebook paper
  • 1 - 4 pack Paper Mate 0.7mm, black markers (no bleed)
  • 1 box tissues

  • 1 - scissors (large) Kids are growing and we find the 7 inch size works best

These items will need to be replenished throughout the school year. 

  • 1 box of #2 pencils (Dixon Ticonderoga are the best). Some students prefer mechanical pencils. 
  • 1 package of notebook paper (loose leaf and wide ruled, not spiral bound)

 

COMMUNITY SUPPLIES

  • One box of tissue
  • 1 box of Ziplock bags - (Last name A - M gallon sized, Last name N - Z Quart sized)

Life Skills Classroom (Self-Contained)

Welcome to the Trailside Elementary Life Skills Classroom! The following supplies will help support your child's learning and daily routines. Please label all personal belongings with your child's name.

Required Student Supplies

· 1 backpack (large enough to hold a folder)

· 1 refillable water bottle

· 1 lunch box (if bringing lunch)

 

Personal Care Items

(Please label with your child's name.)

· Complete change of clothes (shirt, pants, underwear, socks) in a labeled zip-top bag

· Any medically necessary personal care items (if applicable)

 

Classroom Wish List (Optional but Appreciated)

· Facial tissues

· Paper towels

· Disinfecting wipes

· Baby wipes

· Gallon-size zip-top bags

· Sandwich-size zip-top bags

· Hand sanitizer (if permitted by district)

· Extra glue sticks

· Dry-erase markers

· Stickers or small incentive items for classroom rewards
